Our first prototype had 34 categories. Nobody could find anything, and hosts spent ages picking the right one. We cut it to eleven.
Broad enough to choose fast
Nightlife, Sports, Food & Markets, Games & Play, Arts & Culture, Outdoors & Wellness, Festivals & Fairs, Networking, Music & Shows, Community & Social, and Education & Workshops. Each has its own colour and pin, so you can read the map at a glance.
Interests do the fine-tuning
Inside each category, interest tags like running clubs or board game nights shape your home feed, without cluttering the map.
